Trinity
Place Foundation of Alberta (TPFA)
Trinity Place
Foundation of Alberta was established in 1974 with the development
of Carter Place, named after David Carter, a former dean of the
Cathedral who was one of the founders of TPFA. In 1985, TPFA was
recognized as a management body when it was asked by the Provincial
Government to assume the management of King Tower and Murdoch Manor
and later Edwards Place, a total of 833 units comprised of 604 bachelor
units, 217 one bedroom units, and 12 units designated for handicapped
individuals. TPFA is bound by the regulations of the Alberta Housing
Act and reports its management functions to the Department of Municipal
Affairs of the Alberta Government.
Mandate
The vision of
TPFA is to be a leading Calgary Seniors organization seeking continuous
improvement in the quality of its facilities, services, and support
to low income Seniors.

Activities
The Trinity
Foundation Board is composed of six members representing The Cathedral
Church of the Redeemer and four from St. Francis Roman Catholic
Church.
