PROGRAMS, ORGANIZATIONS and GROUPS

Fellowship Group

Mandate

The Fellowship Group seeks to provide a chance to gather and share breakfast, which we do on a monthly basis throughout the year. It is also an active working group and a fundraiser to support specific projects within and outside of the church. Guest speakers are occasionally invited to speak on appropriate topics.

Volunteer Activities

The main volunteer activities are centered around the provision of the Spring, Thanksgiving and Advent lunches and our major fundraiser on Stampede parade morning where we sell coffee and donuts on the Parade route.

Time Requirements

Monthly meetings in the Church hall are from 8:30 am -10:30 am. Volunteers preparing the breakfast usually arrive at 7:30 am and then everyone helps with clearing up. The lunches, held on Sundays following the morning service, start at 9:30am for volunteers and end around 2:00 p.m. The Stampede parade effort starts around 4:30am, for the donut buyer, and ends around noon following the completion of the Parade. Volunteers come and go during the morning and have a grandstand view of the parade.

Special skills

A willingness to have fun whilst working in the group. All are welcome- we currently have over twenty active members.
