Festal Evensong Held on Trinity Sunday

Trinity Sunday, June 3, 2007, saw a Festal Evensong take place at the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer. For this occasion, the Cathedral Choir was augmented by members of the choir from Christ Church.

The High Altar was used to display the Cathedral's communion vessels and other pieces of interest which are used in services from time to time.

The Bishop of Calgary, The Rt. Rev. Derek Hoskin, was in attendance.

Archbishop John R. Clarke, Metropolitan of Rupert's Land, was also present and was given a new Cope and Mitre from the members of the parish of the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer together with the entire Diocese of Calgary in recognition of his service as interim Bishop of Calgary and his steadfast care not only for our Diocese but for the whole Province of Rupert's Land.
